Body contouring is a non-surgical treatment option for people who would like to address localised areas of body fat or improve the appearance of skin firmness. At The Contour Hub in Auburn, our body contouring approach combines fat cavitation and radiofrequency (RF) following an individual consultation and assessment.
What is fat cavitation?
Ultrasound fat cavitation uses ultrasound energy as part of a non-invasive body contouring treatment. It is designed for localised areas rather than as a weight-loss treatment, and suitability varies between individuals.
What is radiofrequency body contouring?
Radiofrequency uses controlled thermal energy to gently heat targeted tissue. In body contouring treatments, RF may be used to support the appearance of skin firmness and complement a treatment plan for selected areas.
Why combine fat cavitation and radiofrequency?
The two technologies have different roles. Fat cavitation is used as part of treatment for localised body contouring concerns, while radiofrequency focuses on controlled heating and the appearance of skin firmness. Where appropriate, they can be incorporated into the same personalised treatment plan.
What areas can be treated?
Treatment areas may include the abdomen, flanks and other suitable areas where localised body contouring is a concern. The area treated depends on your assessment, health history and individual goals.
What happens during a treatment?
Your appointment begins with an assessment of the area and a review of your health history and goals. If treatment is appropriate, fat cavitation and/or radiofrequency are performed according to your individual plan. Treatment parameters and the combination used may vary from person to person.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no single number of treatments that suits everyone. A series may be recommended depending on the area, your starting point, treatment goals and response. Changes are generally gradual, and individual outcomes vary.
Is body contouring a weight-loss treatment?
No. Non-surgical body contouring is not a substitute for weight loss, exercise or a balanced lifestyle. It is intended for selected localised concerns in suitable clients.
